OLED display assembly
A 3.2 inch, 256 x 64 pixel, high-contrast white-on-black graphic OLED display designed for use with Tortuga Audio preamp controllers and finished preamps. With no backlighting to wash out contrast, brightness is user-adjustable over a 14-step range.
The display provides an intuitive, menu-driven control interface built around a 7-button Apple or compatible remote. Volume, balance, input selection, and system settings are all managed through clear on-screen menus.
The assembly combines the OLED screen with a custom adapter board, rotary encoder, and infrared receiver module into one integrated, fully tested unit — cabled and ready to connect, no assembly required.
It replaced Tortuga Audio’s earlier 7-segment displays, and has been through 5 hardware revisions (A through E) since its original release in June 2018.

More than a volume knob
The OLED display assembly isn’t an optional accessory — it’s the primary man-machine interface for every V25, V3, and V4 series Tortuga Audio preamp controller, and the only way to see or configure what the preamp is actually doing. A bare potentiometer just turns; it can’t tell you which input is selected, how close you are to maximum volume, whether you’re muted, or that something’s gone wrong. This display turns all of that into a clear, real-time, on-screen readout instead of a knob you have to trust blindly.
Because the interface is menu-driven and shared across the whole product line, it’s also flexible: the same screen and control set expose volume, balance, input switching, calibration, and system settings without a single extra knob or switch on the front panel. Need a new feature down the road? That’s a firmware menu addition, not a hole cut into the chassis.
