The LDR3.V25K is a complete 3-input, 2-output single-ended passive preamp kit built around Tortuga Audio’s V25 preamp controller board. All circuit boards are provided fully built and tested — no soldering of components to circuit boards required. The kit includes everything needed to assemble a complete audiophile grade passive preamp: enclosure, front/rear panels, interactive OLED display, RCA jacks, power supply, manual encoder/knob, remote, and wire.

Kit vs. finished unit
The differences between the base kit and the non-kit LDR3.V25 are:

Front panel — the kit’s is acrylic, where the finished unit uses brushed anodized aluminum

RCA jacks — the kit uses generic jacks (Cardas available as a paid upgrade), where the finished unit uses Cardas jacks standard
Not a difficult kit to build
On a scale of 1-10 (10 being expert level), this kit was rated around a 2-3 difficulty level. Most of the work is straightforward mechanical assembly and point-to-point soldering of wires, plus plugging in a few cables.
In addition to the kit itself, building it requires:
