The LDR1B.V25 Balanced Passive Preamplifier is a remote controlled balanced audiophile grade passive preamp (attenuator). The LDR1B provides true balanced attenuation with independent attenuation of both phases in each stereo channel. Also, being a true passive preamp, the LDR1B is a unity gain preamp with no amplification or buffering.

The kit can now be ordered either with a single input & dual outputs or with dual inputs & a single output.

The LDR1B.V25 is an updated version of our popular LDR1B.V2 model and its design closely parallels our single-ended LDR3.V25. The updated LDR1B incorporates our new and improved V25 preamp controller that uses LDRs (Light Dependent photoResistors) for exceptional audio performance.

The LDR3.V25K is a complete 3 input, 2 output single-ended passive preamp kit built around our most advanced LDR.V25 Preamp Controller board. When completed, the V25K kit will have a sonic performance the matches many high-end audiophile preamps at a fraction of the cost.

This kit is sonically identical to our LDR3.V25 Passive Preamp designed around our latest V25 preamp controller with the only differences being the front panel material, and the grade of RCA jack and hookup wire in the base kit model (can be upgraded at additional cost).

All circuit boards are provided fully built and tested. No soldering of components to circuit boards required.

The kit includes all the parts needed to assemble a complete audiophile grade passive preamp including enclosure, front/rear panels, interactive OLED display, RCA jacks, power supply, manual encoder/knob, remote, wire etc. We provide detailed online information and assembly instructions that even first time DIY builders should have little trouble following.

The LDR1 is a single input version of our popular LDR3.V2 Passive Preamp and benefits sonically from having eliminated all input switching hardward.

The PS12B Battery Power Supply is a 6.8Ah 12 volt battery power supply with integral smart charger for powering Tortuga Audio’s DC powered passive preamps with the ultimate low noise “zero ripple” DC power supply. The PS12B can also be used for any audio application that can benefit from a clean ~12 volt DC power source. Capable of providing up to 400 ma of current, the PS12B is best suited for applications requiring 200 ma or less.
